Dania Software A/S becomes part of Omnidocs Group and Main Capital Partners

Dania Software joins Omnidocs Group, owned by the Dutch private equity firm Main Capital Partners and a group of key employees from the two operating companies. The future collaboration between Dania Software and Omnidocs paves the way for a significant enhancement of solutions for document generation and accessibility, serving a current customer base of more than 1,100 private and public organisations both domestically and internationally.

In 1998, Poul Skytte Madsen (77) together with Niels B. Johansen (55) founded Team Data Solutions A/S, which quickly evolved into one of the country’s leading Microsoft support company, primarily within the public sector. In 2015, the company shifted its focus to software development and established the current Dania Software A/S, which has subsequently achieved great success, notably with its flagship product, DynamicTemplate, serving more than 200 public and private customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the UK.

The majority shareholder, Poul Skytte Madsen, chose to step down as CEO at the age of 70 in 2017, passing the role to Lars Hintze Andersen (38). Lars joined the company in 2012 and has since, like Niels B. Johansen, become part of the ownership circle. Poul Skytte Madsen has since served as the company’s Chairman of the Board and, at the age of 77, has now decided to divest his majority stake.

With the acquisition of Poul’s shares and the future collaboration between Dania Software and Omnidocs, a new and exciting growth journey with significant international ambitions has begun. Lars Hintze Andersen and Niels B. Johansen will both retain ownership stakes in the new corporate structure, and both management and employees look forward to the collaboration and the many new opportunities that now arise for the shared customers.
